Position Summary :

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Network Architect to collaborate closely with our network and telecom platform teams, security teams, and application teams to design and develop reusable frameworks, processes, and solution patterns that speed delivery of a consistently good cloud and infrastructure services user experience.
- Duties include : enabler for setting strategic direction, design and architecture of the network infrastructure; establishing and maintaining patterns of usage of network services to meet business and technical goals, including value relative to performance, scalability, resiliency, and survivability;
- providing guidance to network platform teams and Enterprise Architects with respect to technology selection and strategy;
creating design documents and wherever possible turning into implementable code (policy, configuration, orchestration templates, small apps, scripting, etc.
optimizing platform services processes; communicating architectural guidance and related instantiation services to peers and leadership;
supporting business transaction (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures) planning; all of the above across a large scale heterogeneous technology environment including public, private, and hybrid cloud as well as critical non-cloud systems.
Required Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in IT
- 7+ years of in-depth working experience in majority of the following network and telecom areas :
- routing protocols (BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP)
- campus and data center switching (leaf and spine, vxlan, evpn, wlan),
- network security NG firewalls, ZTN, IDS, IPS, WAF, VPN, PKI
- Network application delivery ADCs, LBs, GSLB / GTM
- DDI services DNS, DHCP, IPAM
- Telephony / VoIP / CallCenter - SBCs, Call Managers, SIP, IVR, call recording, media gateways, audio codecs
- Carrier services MPLS, VPLS, EVPN, SIP trunk, DWDM, CWDM, Segment routing
- TCP / IP IPv4, IPv6, NAT, CGNAT
- Virtualization NFV, VNFs, eBPF
- 3+ years of experience in software defined networking (SD-WAN, SD-DC) automation and coding (Python, netconf, yang), deployment orchestration tooling (Ansible, Terraform, ARM, or similar),
- 3+ years of management / technical advisory experience
- 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas : Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, VMware ESXi and associated tools, IBM mainframe or midrange
- 3+ years of experience is some of the following areas database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, Cosmos, Hadoop, Redis) and data management technologies, development frameworks (Spring, .
NET, React, Angular), observability (metrics, events, logs, traces), integration layers (queues, event buses, streams, APIs), application migration to cloud or containers with high levels of resiliency and geographic resiliency
3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications :
6+ years of experience working in a regulated industry, including success in a technical management role in the healthcare, finance, or related highly regulated industry.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is :
$140,000.00 - $280,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
