Seacoast Bank is hiring for an Information Security Engineer to join our security team. Primary duties will include hands-on security tool administration and handling a variety of ongoing security-related operational duties in a team environment.

The candidate must have the ability to quickly analyze and solve for high-level incidents and be able to report on them. Consistently improving information security controls that promote confidentiality, integrity and availability the Bank's IT infrastructure and other assets are key.

This position communicates across the business to solve for various security scenarios.

Responsibilities Include :

  • Responsible for monitoring anti-virus, HIPS, firewall, email and other security tools and responding to alerts from these systems
  • Follows up and works with internal IT teams to ensure solutions are built, deployed, and modified as necessary according to the projects
  • Maintain security tool platforms, performing upgrades and patching security tools as needed
  • Autonomously engages vendors for technical support and guidance as necessary
  • Apply technical skills to recommend, implement, support, improve, and operate information protection technologies with limited supervision
  • Assists in internal and external audit requests and provides evidence to support them
  • Proficiency in ability to prepare incident analysis reports and program status reports
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications :

  • At least 5 years of working within an Information Security operations environment with hands on experience with security architecture
  • Familiar with data center and cloud security principles
  • Strong experience and knowledge with Windows OS, Azure AD and Linux OS
  • Strong knowledge of TCP / IP networking and routing concepts
  • Strong understanding of the current threat landscape, as well as experience analyzing and preventing threats and attacks
  • Demonstrated excellence in teamwork as well as excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Cyber Security. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered with specific certifications
  • Security specific certifications such as CISSP, CISA, GIAC, or equivalent highly preferred
  • Knowledge of firewall theory and configuration, intrusion detection and internet architecture
  • Experienced with SAML / SSO / MFA
  • Scripting and automation experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks such as NIST-CSF, ISO-27000, SOX, and GLBA
  • Experience within a banking financial institution
