Duties :
- Conduct prior art database searches to support patentability and freedom to operate analyses.
- Analyze patent documents, scientific papers, and related materials to assist patent attorneys in various legal matters.
- Draft patent applications and responses to office actions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Provide advice and insights to lawyers on technology issues, preparing them for depositions and related legal proceedings.
Requirements :
- Substantive industry experience and a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Exceptional technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Broad scientific knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering or computer science.
- Strong expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning is highly preferred.
- Initiative, fast learning ability, and effective teamwork skills.
- Eligibility to sit for the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office) registration exam and meet the requirements for registration as a patent agent.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field (required).
- Advanced degrees in these fields (preferred).
Certifications :
Eligibility to sit for the USPTO registration exam (required).
