Job Description :
B&D Industrial seeks an experienced Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our growing manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of machine tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities :
- Perform preventive maintenance activities including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments on CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and other production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on machine tools.
- Assist in the installation, dismantling, and relocation of machinery as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order replacement components as necessary.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the training of operators on basic maintenance tasks.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with machinery repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Ability to operate machine tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and regulations
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with CNC machine tools, lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Familiarity with PLC and control systems
- Welding and fabrication skills
