II. Position Overview :
We are seeking a full-time Biotech Project Manager with grants management experience to lead our research initiatives in neuroscience, immunology, and diagnostics.
This role will manage cross-company and academic collaborations while overseeing the grants management process. The ideal candidate will have a PMP certification and a strong background in biotech project management.
III. Key Responsibilities :
A. Project Management :
- Lead and coordinate biotech research projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets
- Manage cross-functional teams and facilitate collaboration between internal departments, academic partners, and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies
B. Grants Management :
- Oversee the entire grant lifecycle, from proposal development to final reporting
- Coordinate with research teams to develop grant proposals and budgets
- Manage awarded grants, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and deadlines
- Prepare and submit timely financial and progress reports to funding agencies
- Maintain accurate records of all grant-related activities and expenditures
IV. Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Project Management); Master's degree preferred
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in biotech project management
- Demonstrated experience in grants management, preferably in a research or academic setting
- Strong understanding of neuroscience, immunology, or diagnostics research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Experience with remote team management
V. Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of SBIR, NIH, and DoD CDMRP funding mechanisms
- Experience with academic-industry collaborations
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in biotech research
VI. Location :
- Remote position with preference for candidates based on the East Coast.
