JOB SUMMARY

The Estimator will support increased demand for product and field service offerings. In this role, you will develop estimates of materials, labor, and other costs necessary to complete customer projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process incoming RFQs / RFPs in accordance with company procedures.
• Review RFQ / RFP to determine project requirements and technical accuracy.
• Utilize prints, specifications, and knowledge of the construction industry to analyze project needs.
• Consult customer and / or sales representative as needed to collect additional information.
• Calculate cost estimates for materials, labor, and other items necessary to price project for bid submittal prior to deadline.
• Request proposal feedback and status updates on project awards.
• Enter and update data in CRM software (Salesforce).
• Estimate change order costs for the project management group.
• Provide updates and reports on estimating activity upon request.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Must have estimating experience, preferably in a construction or power generation environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree in construction engineering technology would be ideal and may be accepted in lieu of estimating experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience required (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Salesforce, CRM (customer relationship management) software and AutoCAD experience is preferred.
• Strong math, oral and written communication skills are required.
