We are seeking a skilled Construction Heavy Equipment Service Technician with a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery.
The ideal candidate will have their own tools and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Diagnose and Repair : Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, boom trucks, loaders, scissor lifts, etc.
Preventive Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and service tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Documentation : Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work completed, including parts used and labor hours.
Collaboration : Work closely with project managers and operators to assess equipment needs and recommend repairs or replacements as necessary.
Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Tool Management : Utilize and maintain personal tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Customer Interaction : Communicate effectively with clients regarding equipment issues, maintenance schedules, and service recommendations.
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of insert number years of experience as a heavy equipment technician or related field.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a technical school or apprenticeship program in heavy equipment maintenance is preferred.
Technical Skills : Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy machinery.
Tools : Must possess a complete set of personal tools required for equipment repair and maintenance.
Certifications : Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, EPA, or OEM-specific training) are a plus.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, pass a Human performance test (physical)
