The Neurologic Rehabilitation Institute at Brookhaven Hospital is pleased to announce an opening for a Licensed Practical Counselor (LPC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy for patients with diverse needs.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including physicians, social workers, and case managers, to ensure holistic care.
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Licensure : Must be a Licensed Practical Counselor (LPC) in the state of Oklahoma.
Education : Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience : Previous experience (2+years) in a clinical setting preferred, including experience with individual and family therapy.
Skills :
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).
- Knowledge of ethical guidelines and standards in mental health counseling.
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills.
Physical Requirements :
Able to transfer, with assistance, patients who weigh over 100 pounds (heavy lifting). Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch to assess and treat patients.
Able to move about to accomplish tasks, including moving between buildings, while carrying charts in binders. Able to work at keyboards.
Able to manipulate and grasp objects such as paper, staplers, telephones, and other office supplies and equipment. Able to operate a telephone and communicate clearly.
Able to complete written and electronic documentation. Some repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers. Able to perform CPR and CPI if necessary.
