Conduct B2B sales calls to prospective and existing customers throughout all segments of our automotive paint body & equipment distribution channel including WD Partners, Jobber Distribution, & End Users.
These sales calls will be conducted on the road & from home office utilizing a sales process, and programs to identify the customer’s needs and develop solutions to objectives to profitably grow sales.
- Develop new leads and act as a conduit between our Field Sales & Technical Teams, while maintaining current business goals and targets with existing and new customers.
- Collect, maintain and build upon customer / prospect information utilizing Sales Force CRM and additional platforms within Sherwin-Williams
- Set-up / work trade shows and events representing HOK and USC. Communicate with existing and prosect customers, while promoting our brands.
Host training events in the field at end user locations, Jobbers, WDs, NAPA, vocational schools and SW Automotive Training facilities.
Promote new products, techniques and programs to all channels. Execute distribution and growth contacts to existing, key and opportunity customers.
Expand our share of wallet to existing accounts, while increasing our distribution footprint. Contribute new ideas for products / programs and report market conditions / competitive activity to management.
- Familiarize self with all products, including their application and preparation, in the House of Kolor and US Chemical lines.
- Develop a daily and weekly pre-call strategy to ensure time is properly allocated.
- Access product / technical information to support customers’ application requirements.
- Identify ways to deepen the business relationship with customers.
- Maintain effective communication with sales manager on strategies and opportunities in marketplace.
- Adhere to company safety standards at all times

Communication : Both strong listening and communication skills are crucial as a Distribution Sales Representative. Sales representatives need to know when to talk and when to listen.
Representatives will also learn how to listen for common objections and utilize sales training to overcome them.
Teamwork : Many sales representatives work in a teamwork environment. They may have to interact with field sales, operations, marketing, or other sales team members to meet sales goals.
Interpersonal and teamwork skills will assist the sales representative in effectively working in a team environment.
- Persuasion : Skills in persuasion and influencing can assist a Distribution Sales Representative in closing a sale. Salespersons will learn to build relationships, develop trust, and learn when to persuade.
- Computer Skills : must be experienced in all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Minimum of 1 year in B2B sales role
- Automotive Paint, Body, & Equipment sales experience
- Current Automotive Sales Representative
