We are seeking a passionate Principal Software Engineer to support a new NGA project in downtown St Louis. This is an exciting new initiative where the NGA is embracing modern software development practices and using them to solve challenging missions for the NGA and their analysts.
This include a modern technology stack, rapid prototyping and culture of innovation. Candidates must be passionate, energized and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.
Required Skills
- Experience with Java, JavaScript or Python enterprise application development
- Experience with Web services architecture, design, and development to include microservice architectures
- Experience with database design including relational, spatial and NoSQL databases
- Experience with Agile philosophies serving as scrum or team lead
- Experience with CI / CD techniques and automated testing and pipelines
- Active TS / SCI Clearance
Desired Skills
- Experience with Spring applications
- Experience as a full stack developer to include Web Services, Database and Front-End Development
- Experience with React
- Experience working with and developing geospatial information systems (GIS) to include open-source and proprietary geospatial formats

This is a hands on role that combines the architect with hands on experience.
