Responsibilities :
Perform inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory agencies.
Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)
- Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift gates, light-duty vehicles and any other company-owned equipment
- Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift gates, light-duty vehicles and any company-owned equipment
- Create and complete work order entries. Maintain work order and vehicle maintenance records
- Utilize the company's maintenance software program to create and complete work orders
- Conduct all levels of preventive maintenance functions such as regular servicing of vehicles including oil changes, and equipment inspections
- Electrical diagnostics, repair and replacement
- Lead and / or assist with the physical parts purchasing, inventory, receiving and proper charge out of parts to work orders
- Performs general cleaning and repair duties
Requirements :
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 year of school and 2 years of experience or 4 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
- Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
- ASE certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions outside
- CDL Class A-Preferred
- 609 HVAC Certification-Preferred
- Brake Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills and abilities
- Working knowledge of computer-based
- Diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers
- Diagnostic equipment, major shop tools, and a secure toolbox will be provided by the company
