The Staff Accountant is a key member of the General Accounting team. This individual will be primarily responsible for assisting with the various accounting functions and playing a heavy part in the month end close process.
In addition, the Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts and perform ad-hoc duties as required.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and can manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
- What you will do : * * Own various accounting functions by tracking the monthly detail, following up with the key personnel and closing these accounts during month end close.
- Support the business through financial data loading & maintenance, tracking travel & entertainment and vender detail* Identify, monitor and implement other process improvement projects* Prepare and post general ledger journal entries* Perform general ledger account reconciliations and roll-forwards* Assist with related special projects, ad-hoc requests, and other responsibilities, as required*The ideal candidate will have : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required* 1+ years of experience in an Accounting role* 1+ years of ERP system experience preferred* Public Accounting experience preferred* Understanding of US GAAP, accounting for complex transactions and familiarity with internal controls*Additional qualifications that will help you be successful in this role : Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively establish rapport and present information* Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines within set timelines* Emphasis on continuous improvement in all tasks* Effective organization, time management and prioritization skills* Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with all levels of the organization* Strong financial and analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to deliver recommendationsSalary - $55K - $60K Remote - Hybrid Opportunity.
Mon - Wed in office, Thur - Fri - Remote.
