Sr Principal System Administrator, i n infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.
Success in this role means you are able to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.
Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
What You Will Do :
- Providing leadership to support a varied range of administrative tasking, to include corrective / preventive maintenance, recurring operations functions, account management, and system optimization.
- Participating in Change Request reviews, to include participating in Change Management boards at multiple program levels.
- Coordinating technical and process document reviews and resolving system administration, engineering, and integration issues
- Participating and leading technical meetings with team members and other program personnel and representing the organization in functional area matters.
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
- Travel required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate. Up to at 10% per year.
- Full time 100% Onsite position .
Qualifications You Must Have :
- Typically, bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience or master’s degree and 5 years of direct experience, or if no degree, must have 12 years of directly related experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.
S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience with some but not limited to, the following technologies : Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, MySQL, Oracle SQL.
Prior systems administration and networking administration experience, Windows and / or Linux administration, backup, and recovery enterprise suites.
- Database experience is a must
- Experience with patch management, OS Upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging
- Must have experience with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.
Qualifications We Prefer :
- Oracle database experience
- High Performance Computing experience
- Experience working with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and / or DoD / RMF and handling classified information.
- Industry certifications including but not limited to : Security +, CISSP, ITIL, ISC2, PMP etc.
- Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
- Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi and / or other virtual computing methods.
- Oracle database experience is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
