Description
The Assistant Project Manager is experienced in supporting the project manager in the full gamut of the construction process.
You understand how to develop and maintain positive relationships that result in long-term partnerships with clients, subcontractors and consultants.
You excel at consistent and accurate communication with everyone involved in the project process. This position reports to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manages and maintains project documentation : drawings, specifications, soils reports, RFIs, change orders, etc.
- Coordinates submittal process, including tracking, reviewing, resubmitting, monitoring. .
- Assists, leads, and compiles customer estimates, proposals, bids, and presentations.
- Support Project Management staff.
- Assists PM with negotiating and documenting subcontracts and change orders, job costing and forecasting.
- Assists Superintendent with subcontractors.
- Attends and records minutes for owner meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety walks and meetings, etc.
- Manages project closeout process.
- Consistently demonstrates company values and seeks to improve through personal and professional development.
Requirements
- 3+ year’s construction experience in commercial construction experience.
- Demonstrable leadership as a senior Project Engineer or project engineer highly preferred
- Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction management (or similar).
