Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to oversee and manage our construction projects involving earthwork, roadway construction, underground utilities, and site concrete.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in supervising and coordinating heavy civil projects, along with proficiency in HCSS software.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate all on-site activities for heavy civil construction projects, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Supervise and lead construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing clear direction and enforcing safety and quality standards.
- Monitor daily progress and productivity, addressing any issues or delays promptly to maintain project momentum and minimize risks.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to interpret project plans, specifications, and requirements.
- Utilize HCSS software to track project costs, quantities, and progress, and generate reports as needed.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Manage project documentation, including daily reports, field directives, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, resolving conflicts and promoting teamwork to achieve project goals.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction, with specific experience in earthwork, roadway construction, underground utilities, and site concrete.
- Proficiency in HCSS HeavyJob or similar construction management software is required.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment used in heavy civil projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction.
