As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in our finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis to support our business operations and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for multiple properties within the hospitality portfolio.
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with operational teams to optimize financial performance and cost efficiencies.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Assist with external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Support special projects and initiatives as directed by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in accounting roles within the hospitality or related industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership qualities with a track record of team collaboration and mentorship.
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) or hospitality-specific software is a plus.
