Our IS Department is currently seeking a full-time qualified candidate to join our collaborative team in delivering excellence in systems management and user support.
Our IS Department is comprised of a skilled team of application, systems support and management professionals. This position is in our Executive Central Business Office where employees enjoy a casual and professional work environment with an opportunity for a hybrid work status.
While remote candidates will be considered, preference will be given to local candidates. ( Residents of California, Oregon, Washington, and New York are not eligible for remote employment).
Description
Under the general direction of the IS Infrastructure Supervisor, this position performs a variety of moderate to advanced level technical tasks for computer systems and networks.
- Create, maintain, track, and communicate configurations and / or changes of configurations in HW, SW, data, permissions (or security-related information), etc.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate procedures, diagrams, system configurations and technical documentation.
- Recommends upgrades, patches, software and equipment.
- Responsible for the analysis and monitoring of hardware and software in a distributed networking environment.
- Assists in managing major incidents and problems through root cause analysis.
- Conducts troubleshooting and aids with restoral actions for system outages and / or problems.
- Administers AD design, user creation, and group policies.
- Manages and monitors system backups.
- VMWare Setup and Administration.
- Administers Exchange / O365.
- Assists in developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
- Provides technical support and guidance to users.
- Participates in on-call support rotation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. (Or in place of degree; 4 years proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Linux Administration.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Windows Administration.
- Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), virtualization, and cloud services.
- Proven proficiency with a VMware environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of server deployment and management.
- Troubleshooting skills in Networking, OSes & VMware related issues.
- Working knowledge of SSL certificate request, creation, installation, and renewal.
- Working knowledge of network security.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows server roles : File, Print, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, RDS.
- Knowledge of Exchange / O365 management.
- Familiar with Network storage / ISCSI / NAS and SAN.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Sophos Administration a plus.
- Knowledge of RightFax Administration a plus.
- Knowledge of Imprivata Device Administration a plus.
- Knowledge of Citrix Administration a plus.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of IT equipment.
- Physical dexterity to work with cables and hardware.
- Comfortable with occasional crawling or climbing when installing or troubleshooting equipment in tight spaces.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
