Manage suppliers to manage product development, scale up and optimization of products. Works directly with developers to optimize product development output.
Operates against pre-determined timelines and gals to successfully meet corporate objectives. Assist in managing scale ups, manufacturing changes and other site manufacturers.
Define, create, create and implement targets for the manufacture of products and attend / support trials for new products.
Work against COGs budge to find savings in formulation, manufacturing, and process. Trouble-shoot lab to plant issues, makes suggestions for improvement.
Travels to suppliers to conduct audits, development and testing and participate in planning, monitoring and documenting plant trials for for successful commercialization of new products Keep accurate records of lab work documentation of ingredients used and formulation modifications.
BS or MS in Food Science or Nutritional Field. Co-Manufacturing experience is a plus. Direct experience with Bars, snacks, chips, crackers or similar products a plus but not required.
What is required is a strong background in full cycle commercialization and innovation projects from lab through full scale manufacturing support.
5-10 years' experience. Must have good communication skills and excel in a team environment.
