As a Registered EEG Technician, under the direct supervision of the Neurovascular Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing routine testing procedures on patients.
Your primary duties will include :
Preparing for testing by checking calibration and supplies.
Performing EEGs, nerve condition velocity, and sensory nerve condition velocity testing on patients.
Educatingpatients on the testing procedures.
Administering peripheral and cerebral vascular doppler examinations.
Understanding and utilizing formulas to calculate test results.

Responsibilities :
- Prepares for testing by properly checking calibration of apparatus and ensuring adequate supplies are on hand.
- Reviews patient's clinical data to facilitate understanding of why they have been referred for testing.
- Attempts to put patients at ease by ensuring their physical comfort and explaining the testing procedure, recommends sedation as appropriate.
- Administers peripheral and cerebral vascular doppler examinations, including arterial studies of the upper and lower extremities.
- Recommends sedation as appropriate.
- Administers sedation as prescribed b y physician.
- Performs EEGs.
- Performs nerve conduction velocity and sensory nerve conduction velocity testing.
- Performs evoked potentials, visual and auditory.
- Assists with training other personnel as needed.
- Performs color velocity imaging evaluation.
- Utilizes formulas to calculate test results.
- Monitors intraoperative studies utilizing EEG's, EP's and NCV's as indicated.
- Assists in analysis test results for diagnosis.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan & accomplish testing goals.
- Cleans and maintains all equipment.
- Schedules patients, answers telephone, performs various clerical and other similar or less skilled duties as needed.
- Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.
Maintains applicable certification / licensure.

Education :
High school graduate or the equivalent with some college courses.
Certifications :
Registered EEG Technologist.
