Salary : $30 per hour
Job Summary :
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
This role requires a hands-on individual with experience in preventative maintenance and a strong understanding of safety protocols.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in various trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Preventive Maintenance : Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshooting and Repair : Diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, and building systems; perform repairs to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment; comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Equipment Management : Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment; manage spare parts and supplies to ensure availability when needed.
- Documentation : Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Facility Upkeep : Assist with general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems.
- Skills :
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, or other relevant trades
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
Work Environment :
- The work environment may include exposure to hazardous materials, noise, and varying temperatures.
- The role may require overtime, weekend work, and on-call availability.
