Salary : $30 per hour

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.

This role requires a hands-on individual with experience in preventative maintenance and a strong understanding of safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in various trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Preventive Maintenance : Perform routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal operation.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair : Diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, and building systems; perform repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment; comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Equipment Management : Maintain an inventory of tools and equipment; manage spare parts and supplies to ensure availability when needed.
  • Documentation : Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Facility Upkeep : Assist with general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with other departments and teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC systems.
  • Skills :
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in HVAC, electrical, or other relevant trades
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations

Work Environment :

  • The work environment may include exposure to hazardous materials, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • The role may require overtime, weekend work, and on-call availability.
