An Open Deck Pricing Analyst is responsible for executing pricing strategies in line with both Coyote network needs and customer satisfaction.
An Open Deck Pricing Analyst assists our customer teams by processing requests for quotes (RFQs) by analyzing lane history and market trends and making recommendations to facilitate optimal pricing.
Open Deck Pricing Analysts are mode specialists and are tasked to work with any customer reps or teams that require assistance providing open deck pricing to their customer(s).
Open Deck Pricing Analysts must have a keen awareness of economic factors that can influence the industry, as well as an eye for identifying opportunities to optimize profitability through price strategy.
Daily Tasks & Responsibilities (include, but not limited to) :
- Analyze customer networks to identify competitive pricing solutions.
- Escalate price requests that fall outside set departmental guidelines to Pricing Management for assistance and guidance.
- Use forecasting and strategic planning to ensure accurate pricing.
- Analyze business developments and monitor market trends.
- Collaborate with both Sales teams and Carrier teams to identify and resolve both cost and rate issues.
Essential Skills, Characteristics, & Experience :
- Prior industry and / or pricing knowledge
- Carrier Sales, Customer Sales or Customer Operations experience is preferred
- Ability to problem-solve, analyze data, and meet strict deadlines
- Strong multi-tasking and communications skills
- Understand market trends
- Proficient in Excel
- RFQ management experience preferred
