Salesian High School is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Permanent Substitute for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
This is a full-time, salaried position and the successful candidate will also be eligible for benefits such as health insurance.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in education
Strong English verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and instruct students of grades 9, 10 11 & 12
General knowledge of several subjects
Flexibility and critical-thinking skills
Patience
Responsibilities
Supervising students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the
playground, and in the cafeteria
Providing in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan
When acting as a leave replacement : developing lesson plans and assignments
consistent with the regular teacher's past lesson plans
Ability to adapt plans to specific classrooms
Salary Range : $35,000-40,000
Interested candidates should be able to provide at least three (3) professional references
at the interview. Please note, that after passing a background check, all Salesian employees
must successfully complete both the Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and the Salesian
Safeguarding training.
