PICU Nurse Manager
This Magnet-recognized hospital in the Bay Area is seeking a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Manager for an exciting opportunity to lead a specialized team in a state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The hospital offers the highest level of around-the-clock critical care for children, ranging from newborns to adolescents, with services that address severe illnesses, congenital heart conditions, certain cancers, and traumatic injuries.
The PICU Nurse Manager will report directly to the Director of Pediatrics and work closely with a team that includes Pediatric Intensivists, Specialized Pediatric Nurses, and Child Liife Specialists.
These team members are known for their advanced certifications in pediatric critical care and trauma. The role will involve collaborating with these interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintaining high standards of care.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit consists of 12 beds in the PICU and 21 beds in the Pediatric Unit, providing a fast-paced, family-centered environment that delivers complex care to a diverse patient population.
The unit is staffed by highly skilled pediatric nurses and experienced intensivists dedicated to providing compassionate care to critically ill children.
The PICU Nurse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the unit, focusing on mentoring and developing staff, coordinating staffing and scheduling, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include managing unit operations, maintaining inventory and equipment, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to provide comprehensive, family-centered care.
The Nurse Manager will also promote patient and family satisfaction by creating a supportive environment and addressing concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience.
