IT Administrator

  • This role is 100% onsite in August, GA

Position Summary

Coordinate with the Vice President of IT, the administration of the companys computer infrastructure including imaging and installation of all computer equipment and systems. This position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance and coordination of the information technology systems, to include the helpdesk, servers, computers, printers, networks, telephones, camera systems, integrated copiers, and provide technical advice and support to system users. Travel amounts of 25-40% are associated with this position along with occasional overnight stays.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

  • Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
  • Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
  • Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and / or users, via voicemail, e-mail or in-person communication.
  • Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
  • Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
  • Managing the daily operation and changes to the Service Desk and its strategy
  • Conducting a continuous assessment of current service desk practices, systems, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Discovery and delivery of new service desk technology approaches and implementing next generation solutions to ensure customer service is always met
  • Work with the Vice President of IT in developing and implementing the companys
  • computer infrastructure to ensure service is continuous for company staff
  • Reviewing, analyzing and delivering data information to present regular reports to the Vice President of IT concerning compliance and overall performance of the service desk
  • Providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff, building a positive working environment, and partnering with the Information Security Officer to promote team performance
  • Provides updates and additions to company website
  • Assist with daily operations of IT, assist with Security operations, and perform other duties as assigned.

    • Education and / or Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent required. An Associate or Bachelors degree in information technology in computer science or related subject is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of previous IT work experience
  • Valid State Drivers License and a driving record / MVR that is insurable by company auto carriers standards / requirements

    • Knowledge and / or Skills

  • MS Server Operating Systems; 2003 2025, MS Windows Operating Systems; XP Windows 11 Professional; Office 365; Azure
  • Website Design WordPress and Experience in GoDaddy website environment
  • PowerShell and / or experience in programming languages such as Python
  • Experience in Application Programming Interfaces API
  • Time management : ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a timely manner
  • Actively promotes and observes safety and security procedures, uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Solid people management skills providing direction, monitoring performance, motivating staff and building a positive working environment
  • Customer service experience within a helpdesk environment and a strong customer relations attitude with the ability to receive customer feedback to improve service
  • Strong team player with ability to adapt to changes in a fast-moving work environment
  • Creative thinking able to look at alternatives and consider new ways of thinking to problem solve
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills providing verbal and written
  • communication that is outstanding to both direct reports and senior management as well as other stakeholders
  • Reliable work attendance
