Organization
Responsible for providing technical support to departmental network and computer operations by troubleshooting and resolving issues with IT systems when they arise
Duties :
Configures hardware installations and system applications.
Installs all computer hardware and associate equipment and all software packages
Performs diagnostic testing and troubleshooting.
Resolves IT issues in a timely manner
Communicates with employees to discuss problems
Assists employees through the process of fixing software, e-mail, web, and other application issues
Prioritizes workload to ensure the most critical issues are resolved first
Documents common support procedures that employees can follow
May provide support remotely
Ensures optimal performance of the system by working with external software and hardware consultants and manufacturer representatives
Microsoft Active Directory security group and group policy object management
Configuration, optimization and data migration of shared user data from network attached storage and server-based file shares
Windows endpoint management including maintenance of images and updating via MECM / SCCM
Print server management
Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Job Location
Required Education : Bachelor's degree AND :
36 months experience as IT Help Desk, Client Support, or related field
Equivalency / Substitution : Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months related experience.
Skills :
- Knowledge of different applications and systems
- Ability to diagnosis and solve IT problems
- Knowledge of remote desktop applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions :
- Physical : Sits for prolonged periods of time. Use of computer. Manual dexterity. Communicate effectively and listens.
- Environmental : Standard Office Environment.
