Great opportunity for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager with a SaaS background to step into the Director Level.
Our client is looking for a strong SAAS based FP&A professional ready to step up and drive the company by developing and improving financial models, reporting, and SaaS metrics to help drive operational excellence throughout the organization.
The mission of this role is to increase business insight and to drive growth organically and through acquisition.
Essential Functions
As FP&A Director, your role will evolve along with the company’s growth trajectory to include the
following primary areas of responsibility :
- Maintain financial models (e.g. bookings waterfall, customer cube, etc.), calculation of standard SaaS metrics, and present key insights and recommendations to business leaders
- Lead the design and execution of the annual budget and ongoing forecasting processes
- Play a key role in the long-term strategic planning processes
- Monitor and evolve key performance indicators, highlighting trends, and analyzing the root causes of variances to deliver valuable insight and recommendations
- Continuously improve and assist with Board and Executive reporting
- Find opportunities to optimize spend and work to reduce costs and inefficiencies
- Simplify, streamline, and automate FP&A processes and make full use of forecasting and financial system capabilities that will allow us to continue to scale rapidly and globally
- Collaborate with business partners to understand, distill, and communicate ongoing and evolving business trends that will drive management decisions and action
- Perform frequent ad hoc projects to support senior management and business decisions
- Work with the accounting team on month-end close to derive accurate and timely reporting that helps identify variances from expectations and trends
- Compare actual results vs budget vs forecast to analyze and identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and communicate to budget leaders
Competencies & Qualifications
- Intacct experience a big benefit (or similar ERP).
- Salesforce experience a plus (or similar CRM)
- Great interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
- Proven track record of managing various deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience working for a technology company environment is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and good project management capabilities.
