Overview
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible and accountable for administration, operation, and direct management of the restaurant.
This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and assist in a supervisory capacity with the business plan and budget.
- Responsible for inventory control and ordering supplies, food and drink necessary to operate.
- Developing cashiers and utility staff - includes training, interviewing for new hires and assisting with performance management inclusive of disciplinary counseling and conducting performance evaluations.
- Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment.
- Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
- Develop, implement and supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
- Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements
- Preferred, five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in restaurant supervision.
- Preferred, four (4)-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work long hours.
- Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning.
- Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily.
- Ability to handle multi-tasking-heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms.
- Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
Working Conditions
- 24 / 7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees.
- Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises.
- You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed.
