Pennsylvania Steel has been in business since 1972 and has expanded to 11 locations as of 2017, becoming one of the largest Steel Service Centers in the eastern United States.
The Pennsylvania Steel, Ashland, VA branch is looking for an experienced Plant Manager.

Plant Manager Position - Overview :
Plant Manager duties and responsibilities :
- Oversee all Operations to ensure safety
- Develop plans that help operations run smoothly
- Manage production
- Manage trucks, Drivers, routing & deliveries
- Recruit, train and onboard new employees
- Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
- Analyze data and create reports to present to executives regarding processes
- Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement
- Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage
- Perform routine safety checks & preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, responsibility and accountability through employee engagement and leading by example
Experience and Skills :
We are asking for an "experienced" Plant Manager
Experienced with Steel Making and Manufacturing Operations is preferred
Interfacing with multiple locations and headquarters reporting is desired
All-encompassing site and department management is required
Strong manufacturing experience is required.
Strong People skills is required.
