Job Title : Behavior Health Coordinator at High School
Job Summary :
Provide consultation and feedback to administrators and teachers on student needs and behaviors. Lead with team approach (student, teachers, principals, family) to assess an appropriate intervention plan(s) and participate in the discussion regarding changing behavior.
Terms of Employment :
Monday - Friday
8 hours per day
School year position - 185 work days

$37,260 per year
75% medical benefits
Qualifications :
1. High School Diploma required.
2. Experience in behavioral health and Bachelor's degree preferred.
3. Knowledge of MTSS / PBIS and how to analyze data.
4. Knowledge of evidence-based practices as they relate to student behavior.
5. Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
6. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
7. Ability to work with confidential information and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
8. Ability to communicate well at various levels with children, adults and community members.
9. Ability to organize time, resources, and services to meet workload demands.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Work as part of the school team to maintain a safe and secure learning environment while managing student behavior issues.
2. Develop effective relationships and collaborate with teachers, counselors, parents, and related agencies to support a successful discipline program that will improve student behavior and performance.
3. Consult with families regarding behaviors and success in school.
4. Assists the school in planning programs that prevent, reduce or alleviate situations that interfere with the learning process of students.
5. Oversight of detention and ISS.
6. Communicate often with the student's team.
7. Assist in monitoring student attendance; maintain records, and provide interventions.
8. Provide research-based effective strategies to support student success.
9. Assist students with being proactive in making choices that will lead to their success.
10. Assist in the development and implementation of Behavior Plans.
11. Attend workshops, training sessions, conferences, and courses determined by the District to keep up to date with professional best practices and research.
12. Other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
