Job Title : Shipping and Receiving Associate
Location : Tulsa, OK 74146 (100% Onsite)
Duration : 3 Months Contract
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Client has an exciting opportunity for Warehouse and Shipping professionals at our Tulsa, Oklahoma location! We have an open position in our shipping department, responsible for ensuring timely and accurate product shipments.
Duties include packing, loading, and working with Material Handlers and production teams to meet shipping needs.
AS THE SHIPPING CLERK, YOU WILL :
- Process shipments based on Emerson and Customer routing guides.
- Operate various packaging tools, such as nail gun and packing foam machine to box, crate, and secure shipments.
- Work alongside the Quality department to ensure that the Quality guidelines are being met for all outgoing packages.
- Prepare bill of lading, packing list, commercial invoice, and shipping labels for domestic and international orders using shipping software.
- Record needed information such as quantity, weight, and dimensions on pick slips for outgoing packages.
- Work cohesively with production teams to ensure timely shipments for product lines.
PREFFERED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS :
- Minimum of high school diploma plus six (6) months of general shipping or logistics experience.
- Must be PC proficient.
- Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing transactions and dealing with part numbers, quantities, locations, and weights.
- Must be able to perform unassisted lifting to 25 pounds and assisted lifting over 25 pounds
- Previous forklift experience.
- Able to interface with sales for tracking and shipment details.
- Must be comfortable with e-mail and phone communication.
