Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy Technician at Virginia Beach General Hospital for our Inpatient Pharmacy!

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000 Offered for qualified candidates!

Status : Full Time (40 hrs / wk)

Shift : Rotating (8.5hr shift)

Hours : S hifts vary between 630am-1130pm

Weekends : Every Other Weekend

Holiday Rotation

Required qualifications :

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - required if licensed in VA after 7 / 1 / 2021

Preferred qualifications :

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Prior hospital experience preferred

Job responsibilities :

• Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
• Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders
• Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Job Summary
