Senior Accountant - Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe (East Valley)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Consultant Senior Accountant! As a Consultant Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing various aspects of the accounting function.

Your daily responsibilities as a Consultant Senior Accountant will generally include :

• Provide support during preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Lead the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial results
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper classification of transactions
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and irregularities
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
• Prepare comprehensive reports to support management decision-making
• Assist in coordination of external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries

Qualifications include :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA is a plus
• Experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to duration and needs of project
