Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Key Tasks

ENSURES OPERATION OF MACHINERY AND MECHANICALEQUIPMENT BY :

Observingall equipment to assure proper operation of all systems and find possiblefailures; repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such aspneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems, production machines and equipmentusing testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuringinstruments;

performing preventive maintenance on equipment; repairingelectrical equipment.

MANAGE EQUIPMENT DATABASE BY :

Maintainingwritten records for every piece of equipment; logging work done and failures inorder to establish a predictive maintenance program.

ADJUSTS PARTS OF DEVICES AND CONTROL INSTRUMENTS BY :

Installingfunctional and structural parts on devices or equipment.

Maintains safe and clean work environment by :

Operatingall machinery in a safe and efficient manner; reporting any safety hazards toassigned supervisor or safety manager;

complying with all safety and qualitypolicies, practices and procedures.

MAINTAINSQUALITY SERVICE BY :

Keeping error rates minimaland within acceptable ranges; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting andexceeding all performance measurements : quantity, accuracy, timeliness, andthoroughness of work performed

Your Background

• AssociatesDegree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct relatedexperience or an equivalent combination
• All maintenance tools (hand and power tools); welding and cuttingequipment; meters; gauges; forklift; man lift; company truck
• Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports andcorrespondence. Ability to speakeffectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technicaljournals, financial reports, and legal documents

• Proficientpersonal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routinedatabase, activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
