Job purpose
A Project Manager is responsible for managing the execution of security / low voltage related projects for our clients. A Project Manager must provide excellent customer service and maintain strong professional relationships with our clients, vendors, partners and fellow employees.
The position demands solid knowledge of security and low voltage systems as well as strong communication skills and organizational / multi-tasking capabilities to successfully manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Effectively manages projects from inception to completion, working with internal and external contacts.
- Coordinates and manages all aspects of a project including material ordering and delivery; workforce planning; budgeting;
customer satisfaction; etc.
- Develops detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity, changes in scope, and any other project related issues.
- Provides documentation, reports and information to the appropriate management team members and customer as requested.
- Consistently monitors job reports to ensure margins meet or exceed estimates.
- Interfaces with customers, architects, contractors, engineering, etc. on any contractual issues, financial matters, costs, scheduling, and technical issues that may arise.
- Meets project completion schedules while ensuring labor and material costs are within budget.
- Ensures the quality of workmanship is to company and customer standards.
- Exhibits a superior ability to work independently.
- Initiates and monitors installation standards, providing on the job training and direction to direct reports.
- Enforces company safety programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Develops an attitude of safety awareness with direct reports.
- Read contracts to ensure compliance with regards to scheduling, attendance at safety meetings, etc.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, owner representatives, co-workers, site superintendents, etc.
- Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
- Attend and participate in project meetings.

Education and / or Experience :
- High School Diploma or GED
- College or Technical School a plus
