Persons employed as a Base Trainer is expected to :
To implement and sustain Signature Flight Support’s Training programs according to the company provided structure and local authorities.
To provide adequate and efficient training for all base personnel according to company policies, procedures, standards, and Tier Leveling.

The following are essential to the job, in addition to those listed above and on the chart in this description. Certain functions may be performed in varying weather and environmental conditions, such as precipitation, extreme temperatures, jet engine fumes, dust, and noise.
The tasks are performed inside and outside near stationary and moving aircraft (including spinning propellers and engines).
- Ensure all base personnel complete required Web Based, Instructor Led, Virtual Instructor-Led, and On the Job Training (OJT) in a timely manner.
- Ensures all Power Industrial Truck (PIT) certifications are current and accurate.
- Provide local and regulatory fire authority training as required.
- Ensure team members are trained on existing and new equipment as required
- Keep all training files organized, accurate, and maintained within company standards
- Ensure the Master Base Training document and Service Tracker is updated and accurate
- Responsible for coordinating the on-the-job training; including guiding OJT Trainers on training objectives required for all team members
- Responsible for New Hire Training Process
- Train team members on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ensure Customer Service Representatives (CSR) receive proper SIGnet and CSR Training
- Ensure all team members are following company procedures, monitor for compliance, conduct on the spot corrective actions, and provide refresher training as necessary
- Attend monthly Base Trainers Call
- Attend annual Base Trainer Summit
- Adhere to the Training Matrix and Service Tracker to ensure timely administration of compliance courses (North America)
- Keep a current and accurate Training Matrix on shared drive (EMEA)
- Update monthly base KPIs (EMEA)
- Keep manuals current with new releases and updates
- Ensure all commercial airline training is completed according to airline standards (if applicable)
- Deliver and / or oversee the completions of any added training required by Signature Flight Support
- Remain current on training updates to include, meetings, calls, and documentation
- Responsible for scheduling additional resources for any training needs
To qualify for this position, applicants and those in the roles must have :
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- A valid state driver’s license. In some locations a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required as dictated by local regulations and business needs
- Ability to pass background checks (criminal and motor vehicle), drug tests, receive and maintain issuance of an airport security badge, and be insurable by the company’s applicable insurance policies.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
- Ability to successfully and timely complete Signature’s training programs
- Ability to pass a color vision test for purposes of inspecting aviation fuel.
- Ability to use a computer and email, including pass computer-based training modules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and for safety-sensitive tasks, in English
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, fractions, angles, degrees, time)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including night, holiday and weekend shifts and in various weather conditions.
- Preferred : two-five years of operational experience and / or training in aviation, customer service or other related field;
or equivalent combination of education and experience and / or training
