Overview

As a member of the Guest Services Team, you will be an essential part of the Guest experience and help build memories that last a lifetime.

In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to ushering, ticket scanning, general customer service, greeter.

You will have the opportunity to assist our guests by offering directions and sharing information while creating a World Class experience.

Your job will be to keep our fans safe and informed while still maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere.

This position reports to the Event Managers.

This role will pay an Hourly wage of $14.50.

For PT roles : Benefits : Eligible to accrue sick leave; 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

About the Venue

Located in Downtown Grand Junction, CO at the recently renovated Grand Junction Convention Center which also services the Amphitheater at Las Colonias Park and the Historic Avalon Theatre.

This position will primarily work at the Historic Avalon Theatre with opportunities to also work events at other venues depending on need.

Responsibilities

• Prepare your assigned section for guests; this could include wiping down seats, looking for potential hazards, reporting any issues to a supervisor
• When doors open, welcome our patrons with a great smile and helpful attitude
• Scan event tickets ensuring that the proper ticket is being used to gain entry
• Assist guests in locating their ticketed seats, restrooms, concessions, etc.
• Being alert and proactive to potential hazards and reporting incidents when they occur
• Monitor your assigned area for issues and opportunities to make lasting memories for our patrons
• Respond to all guest concerns / complaints promptly and in a professional manner
• Assist guests in ADA accessible seating sections
• Enforce all building policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests
• Manage the foot traffic flow of large crowds
• Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
• Ensure outside alcohol or food and beverage does not enter the venue as well as alcohol purchased inside does not leave the venue
• Be knowledgeable about emergency evacuation plan in order to safely assist guests during the unlikely event of an emergency.
• Control and monitor all restricted areas and backstage
• Ensure there is no unauthorized entry into venue outside of ticket doors
• Assist in ensuring safety of all performers and guests

All other duties assigned by Event Manager or Supervisor

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications :

• Experience in a hospitality or entertainment environment is preferred
• You must love working with and helping people
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• You must be able to maintain a POSITIVE attitude while handling difficult situations
• Outstanding customer service, ability to learn quickly and adapt to various environments and needs based on each event
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Employee may occasionally be required due to business demands and event operations to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds
• Flexible schedule : Must have evening and weekend availability. Some day time availability is also preferred. Shifts are dependent on event schedule
