Client is looking to add a Controller to their team.
Must own month end close
Supervisory experience
Strong Excel - Heavy use in company
Small to midsize office experience
- Responsible for recording day-to day transactions and overseeing all departments as they relate to the accounting and finance function (Service & Sales Departments)
- Compile and analyze timely and accurate financial reporting packages; communicate with business owners
- Support business owners on development of financial forecasts, projections, & strategic operating plans
- General ledger and financial reporting
- Manage accounting operations (AR, invoicing, AP, fixed assets)
- Cash management
- Inventory management, including annual physical inventory counts
- Reconcilement of all balance sheet accounts
- Floorplan and banking relations
- Multi-state sales tax filings
- Manage company insurance coverages and risk mitigation
- Assist with importation of products from overseas markets
- Ensure adherence with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and internal control procedures
- Participate in preparation of reviewed annual financial statements with outside firm
