Title : Family Law Paralegal (On-Site)
Salary : $55,000 - $70,000, Annually depending on experience
Location : Morris County, NJ

We seek a Family Law Paralegal to support our team of Attorneys with all aspects of family law cases and contribute to our commitment to client service excellence.
This firm does have billing requirement as part of this role.

Job Responsibilities To Include :
- Assist in legal matters, primarily within Family Law
- Maintain attorney calendars
- Assist Attorneys with drafting motions, discovery, and trial prep
- Preparing legal documents such as letters, briefs, pleadings, interrogatories, subpoenas, and affidavits for review and approval
- Facilitate a positive client experience and support clients through difficult emotional times, providing ongoing support to clients even after legal issues have been resolved
- File all court documents with the appropriate court system and maintain meticulous electronic and paper files for easy access
- Prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, coordinating client meetings, filing motions, and managing witness coordination
- Serve as a professional liaison between clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
- Deliver or direct the delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties involved in legal actions
Requirements :
- An Associates or Bachelors degree or at least a paralegal certification
- 2+ years of family law experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Client-oriented with a commitment to facilitating excellent client service during emotionally challenging times
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software
Bonus Experience :
- Bilingual, especially in Spanish
- Experience with CIS software
- Have tracked your own billable hours
- A paralegal certification
