JOB FUNCTION :
1. Program / Department Responsibilities
Instruction of assigned classes, teaching proper techniques and form of
appropriate skills
To have good sports skills and experience of the class, gym and
outdoor areas
- To keep accurate attendance records and class records
- To evaluate students ability level(s)
- To explain progress and procedures to parents
- To prepare gym / outdoor areas with necessary equipment / supplies
- To maintain order and safety in class
- Instruction of proper use of equipment
- Be informed of all current and / or upcoming programs and special events in order to interpret TMCA membership and program information to members and potential members to increase their participation in each are.
2. Supervision of Personnel

3. Fiscal Responsibility
None
4. Facility / Housekeeping Responsibility
To clean area after class, reporting any damaged or broken equipment
supervisor immediately
Ensure a safe environment for all participants
5. Divisional / Community / Volunteer Responsibility
Provide friendly, courteous service to all members, clients and
volunteers of the Y
6. Contribute to a positive work environment by illustrating pride in job,
Enthusiasm and cooperation with co-workers

EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in sports instruction, implementation, organization and supervision.
- Ability to work with people of all ages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop and bend during the work day.
- Knowledge of various sports and game modifications.
