Plumber/Pipefitter - Special Projects

Job Title : Plumber / PipefitterJob Type : Full-TimeSalary Range : $30.00 - $50.00 / hr.Position Overview : We are seeking a Plumber / Pipefitter to join our Special Projects team in Northern Virginia.

The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems.

This includes working with a variety of pipes, such as steel, copper, and plastic, in commercial settings.Company Overview : Moore's is a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls solutions company providing commercial and industrial services across Virginia and North Carolina.

Responsibilities : Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment.Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes.

Plan piping system layouts, installations, or repairs according to specifications.Cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles.

Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of various materials.Test piping systems for leaks using pressure gauges and other testing equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues.Maintain equipment, tools, and inventory stock on company service vehicle.Safely drives company vehicle, follows requirements of company vehicle driving policy and adheres to all safety requirements.

Requirements : High School Diploma or equivalent.Proven experience as a Plumber / Pipefitter or in a similar role. - 5+ years preferred.

Strong knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and procedures.Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Proficiency with hand and power tools used in the trade.Ability to fit carbon steel pipe.Ability to solder copper pipe.Ability to install screw pipe and victaulic pipe.

Med Gas Certification is a plus.Backflow Certification is a plus.Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in various settings, including confined spaces, working at heights, and in adverse weather conditions.

Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.Must pass a drug screen and background check.We Offer : $30 - $50 / hr.
