The Collection Analyst reviews underwriting files to verify amounts owed on premium and fee balances for multiple lines of business, initiates formal demands to policyholders complying with Federal, State and Local collection regulations, tracks recovery amounts, and manages 3rd party placements and closures.
This individual will determine reasons for delinquency, evaluate each party's financial situation, negotiate terms of repayment to bring account current, collect payment, and generate routine reporting to management on progress.
This position will be in Omaha, NE, and can be hybrid at discretion of manager after a time of onsite training. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.
What will you do?
- Responsible for collection activities for one or more BHHC segments.
- Confirms premium amounts due and communicates demand to the responsible party.
- Evaluates each recovery opportunity to determine optimal course of action
- Documents all collection actions within applicable systems or databases.
- Provides highest level of service to internal and external customers, ensuring inquiries are responded to timely and thoroughly.
What are we looking for?
- One or more years work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- Interpretation and application of insurance contracts preferred.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles preferred.
