In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.
- g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community;
- student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience;

- Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) utilizing mastery of the concepts, principles, and practices of the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution system (PPBES), which is the process by which budgets are developed and presented throughout the Army and DOD;
- 2) utilizing comprehensive knowledge and understanding of how budgetary and program legislation is enacted by Congress, how congressional decisions are implemented in the Army chain of command, and the laws and regulations pertaining to budgeting and fund control;
3) ability to relate the organizations budget to those of other commands, agencies, or state and local governments, particularly with respect to the reimbursable program.
Incumbent uses this level of knowledge to analyze and consolidate budget estimates from Senior Managers into a balanced, multiyear budget document.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-12).
