Select Sires, Inc. is currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Data Analyst. This salaried, exempt position reports to the Manager of Data Analytics.

Specific duties and responsibilities of a Data Analyst include, but are not limited to,

Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.

Manage stakeholder relationships within one or more business areas by spending routine time with designated business parties to understand their business, their data, and their needs.

Help business partners tell stories. Fluency in their business areas and their data is a goal.

Understand data. Data acumen must be strong.

o Profile, understand, and classify source data.

o Prototype Conceptual Data Models

o Work with data warehouse engineers to refine data model into Dimensional Data Model

Author reports and dashboards in Power BI.

o Create models (within Power BI).

o Define and classify metrics.

o Author reports and dashboards.

o Monitor usage.

Increase users' ability to use and author reports in Power BI, with a goal of self-service.

Participate in a guild with other data analysts to identify common challenges and promote a center of excellence.

Typical office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM EST. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OF A DATA ANALYST :

Bachelor's degree and / or 3-5 years of experience data analysis

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE OF A DATA ANALYST :

Advanced degree in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing or Data Science

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A DATA ANALYST :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.

Light to moderate lifting is required.

Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.

Moderate noise (business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic)

Ability to work in an open cubicle concept.

Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
