The Assembly Technician will be responsible for performing mechanical assembly, calibration, and packaging of production items at our San Jose, CA Headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Performs mechanical assembly on production items.
  • Assists in material and packaging processing.
  • Assists in the calibration of all Mountz products.
  • Conducts all tasks / responsibilities keeping always in mind the Manufacturing Department objectives and the continual improvement of Mountz's Quality Management System.
  • Supports and participates in the company's health and safety program.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.

  • Complex Mechanical Assembly
  • Simple Electronic Assembly :

RoHS-Compliant Assembly Experience

Handling and / or Inspection of PCBAs

Through-hole Hand Soldering

Hand-Soldering Wires Experience

Cutting, Stripping, & Crimping Wires

  • Pre-set hand-tool calibration
  • Hand-tool QC
  • Firmware Download into PCB

Prerequisites :

  • J-STD-001 Familiarity and / or Certification
  • IPC-A-610 Familiarity and / or Certification
  • IPC / WHMA-A-620 Familiarity and / or Certification

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Works well with the team and with minimum supervision
