Business Overview :

The mission of the Americas Legal Department is to provide comprehensive, effective and efficient legal support to the CIB business.

In this capacity, the Americas Legal Department advises on a broad range of legal matters for the entities within its scope, including providing legal advice to management, business and the functions with respect to commercial and own account activities, and contributing to the Bank's influence on applicable legislative or market wide regulatory initiatives.

The team provides legal and regulatory watch and maintains a legal risk management framework, including associated procedures and controls.

Responsibilities :

  • With respect to external legal spend management, act as invoicing clerk :
  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following : maintain accurate and timely processing of legal invoices in TyMetrix and Basware, to the extent applicable, matter creation, budget adjustments, reviewing and verifying accuracy of billing and supporting documentation for international invoices, promptly responding to invoice and rates inquiries (internal and external) and assisting the team with ad hoc reporting requests (eg.

monthly accrual reporting).

  • Manage and / or assist in, ad-hoc projects linked to the Americas Legal department strategic priorities
  • Provide administrative support to the department as directed by the COO

Minimum Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree;

o Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook....)

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $75,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills / experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic / office location.
