Nexeo HR is seeking a Truss Plant Machine Operator for a state-of-the-art truss manufacturing facility located in St. George, Utah.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a climate-controlled indoor environment with advanced computer-run machinery.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the production process and have the potential for growth within the company.

We are looking for someone that has Machine Operator or Sawyer Experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor computer-run machinery involved in the fabrication of trusses, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the production process.
• Conduct regular inspections of trusses to ensure they meet the required specifications, dimensions, and quality standards.

Address any defects or issues that may arise during production.

Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal performance. This includes cleaning, lubricating, and conducting minor repairs.

Promptly report any major equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to the maintenance team.

• Safely handle and transport materials, including lumber, plates, and connectors, to and from machines. Adhere to proper handling techniques to prevent damage to materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, tools, and equipment. Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure adequate stock.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure work environment. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and promptly report any safety concerns.
• Accurately record production activities, including quantities produced, machine performance, maintenance logs, and quality control reports.

Complete all necessary paperwork or electronic documentation associated with the job.

Collaborate effectively with team members, including other machine operators, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and quality control inspectors.

Work together to meet production targets and ensure a smooth workflow within the facility.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or construction environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with truss fabrication processes and materials is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues.
• Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and follow technical specifications and blueprints.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.

$18.00 - $22.00 Per Hour

Schedule

7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm Monday - Friday Opportunity of overtime
