Position : Director of Nursing
Location : Flagstaff, AZ
Working Shift : 6 am - 06 : 30 pm (Days)
Pay Rate : $55 - 60 / hr on W2
Duration : 2-year Contract with possible extension
Overview : The Director of Nursing will oversee and manage the nursing department within the Arizona Department of Public Safety's skilled nursing facility.
This role requires advanced nursing knowledge, particularly in the clinical management of moderate to complex medical conditions.
The Director of Nursing is responsible for ensuring that nursing policies and procedures are consistently applied, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, and overseeing the quality of resident care.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide advanced clinical management of moderate to complex medical conditions within the skilled nursing facility.
Ensure adherence to fundamental nursing policies and procedures, as applied within a skilled nursing environment.
Oversee employee management, including scheduling, training, supervision, and application of nursing practices.
Maintain extensive knowledge and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OBRA, OSHA, and other standards.
Manage regulatory requirements related to the quality of resident assessments, Minimum Data Sets, and the design and implementation of resident care plans.
Handle human resource functions such as recruiting, interviewing, training, coaching / counseling, and taking disciplinary actions as necessary.
Design and implement systems related to workflow, scheduling, and quality assurance functions, and track the frequency and prevalence of quality indicators within the skilled nursing environment.
Ensure compliance with State Personnel Rules.
Essential Requirements :
Current Arizona State RN License
One or more years of Skilled Nursing Facility or Long-Term Care Experience preferred.
Currently possess or ability to obtain and / or retain an Arizona Department of Public Safety Class 1 Fingerprint Card
Current CPR card that was obtained by physical assessment
Valid Driver's License
2 or 4-year degree from a nationally accredited nursing program.
