Tableau Desktop Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ.

This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business intelligence and decision-making processes
• Design and develop interactive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards and reports
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
• Optimize and maintain existing Tableau dashboards
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and visualizations
• Stay updated with Tableau best practices and new features

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a Tableau Desktop Developer
• Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and data visualization best practices
• Solid understanding of SQL, data querying, and fundamentals of data modeling
• Experience with data preparation and ETL processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong analytical mindset, proficiency in data visualization, and the ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights
• Tableau
• Data Scientist
• Business Analyst (Domain Experts)

Desired Skills :

• Experience with industry BI / Reporting toolsets including Tableau, MicroStrategy, Cognos, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Qlik
• Experience with connecting to Hadoop, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Netezza, Teradata, and SQL databases
• Experience with Data Science integration and application (Python, R)
• Experience with ETL tools (Trifecta, Alteryx, SSIS, Informatica)
• Experience with programming languages (Python, APIs, Web Data Connectors, Tableau Extensions, JavaScript)
• Experience with Financial services data and large data volumes
