Position Summary :
The Payroll Specialist possesses background in payroll processing activities. This individual has primary responsibility to perform the payroll functions, including, but not limited to : processing of detailed time records and other data to produce gross to net payroll information;
review and processing of payroll modifications as directed; review and analysis of payroll data and reports; internal controls to ensure proper entry and balancing of payrolls.
This is a Remote position.
Essential Duties :
- Responsible to ensure accurate use of pay codes and pay rates for services, following wage and hour guidelines.
- Audit entry of Data Entry Clerks, and submitted reporting.
- Adhere to internal control processes including payroll balancing and other internal controls for SOX compliance.
- Effectively communicate with appropriate Addus Departments on payroll issues for resolution.
- Perform rate and payroll entry for special programs, as requested.
- Assist with, review, and follow up on payroll reports, as requested.
- Review New and Termed Employees Report weekly to ensure all rates are entered for new employees and all finals payments are processed according to state laws
- Import and processing of Gross to Net calculations in ADP Vantage.
- Entry of employee direct deposit change information.
- Process employee W4 changes.
- Adhere to HIPPA compliance.
- Maintains confidentiality of all payroll information.
Position Requirements & Competencies :
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Payroll related activities in an automated multi-state payroll environment
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff
- Ability to multi-task under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Horizon experience (Preferred)
- ADP Vantage Experience (Preferred)
- Able to work in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Capable of learning new technology applications
