Summary

Delta Oaks Group is seeking a candidate to coordinate multiple aspects of projects related to telecom engineering teams, including project set up, schedule coordination with subcontractors, tracking and maintaining subcontractor data.

This position provides support to management and engineering staff as necessary to complete various services, ensuring customer expectations are met while controlling cost and contributing to company and department profitability.

Positional Responsibilities

This position is responsible for supporting our engineering teams. The selected individual should be a strong multi-tasker to work with multiple departments from project start through completion.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are also required, as expedited communication with internal (engineering staff and management) and external (subcontractors and clients) project stakeholders are frequently required.

Duties

  • Proactively track deliverable status, escalating late / delayed project status as required
  • Enter data regarding target and completion dates for field work, project status, and other project management metrics into the company database and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Review and validate vendor expenses, including subcontractors, travel vendors, etc.
  • Maintain records of subcontractors.
  • Research various municipal codes to determine project parameters / requirements for various A&E, Civil , and Environmental engineering job tasks
  • Assist in the development of protocols and standard operating procedures for project coordination, subcontractor document tracking, and report completion
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and internal managers regarding report compilation and deliverable submittal
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills and professional demeanor while interacting with clients, co-workers, landowners, client representatives and regulatory & safety officials

Computer Software Experience

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel are required

Experience / Minimum Requirements

  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a similar project coordinator or project management position is required
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, subcontractors, clients or their representatives
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management concepts

Educational Requirements

Associates (2-year) degree is required, a bachelor’s degree in business, administrative, or related scientific field is strongly preferred.
